Anyone else notice that all the press is so negative about the Cadillac ELR pricing?

I came across this article on the Motley Fool, titled Why is GM's Electric Cadillac so expensive?

Their main point is that the ELR shares the drivetrain with the Chevy Volt, which can be had for less than half the ELR's starting price.
Then of course are all the dummies with their opinions that sound off in the comments section.

Quote:
Because GM is making a bad decision. They want to get big profits off the ELR but this is going to back-fire by severely reducing sales.

This Cadillac is $76,000. GM can reach out to individual customers - but until they offer a car like Tesla with extended battery range, they are going to have a very hard time selling any of these.
