Cadillac has hired a new CMO Uwe Ellinghaus, who officially joins Cadillac on January 1. He was at BMW for 14 years and served as head of brand strategy from 2010 to 2012. He believes the key to elevating Cadillac is accelerating the premium-car wars and the ELR is the first vehicle to do that.

According to the new CMO, Cadillac has a Relevance issue, not an age problem.
