The LA Auto Show was a real bust - nothing new in the electric vehicle or plug-in electric vehicle space.
And, no 2016 Cadillac ELR like was originally planned.
After realizing this, I searched around, and finally found an article on
GMInsideNews.com that talked about it.

The ELR was removed from the LAIAS website's world debut page a week before the show. GMInsideNews discussed this with Cadillac insiders who said the ELR 2.0 was delayed due to system integration difficulties.
According to these insiders, the ELR 2.0 will be a 'highly autonomous vehicle' and a few of the features that were planned for the 2016 ELR are taking longer to refine than GM had planned. And, some of the features may be delayed indefinitely.
That resulted in Cadillac delaying the debut of the 2016 Cadillac ELR until the feature-set is finalized and set for production.
